 28 Hours of Hope Song
hope
LIndsey O'Brien April 2009

Every day IT’S something new
He braced himself and still fell thru
He’s just a boy with a dream that’s all
Down the stairs wasn’t really a fall

He lays in bed and dreams at night
Begging goD for a day with no fight
He cries, why’s he like this
Whys he got to hit
My vision of life nothing this

He’s thinking of running
But nowhere to go
It’s not the life he wanted
But the only life he knows
he’s dreaming of dying
Wants it all to go away
Then people come together and made a longer day

Giving 28 hours
Giving what they can
28 hours to help others understand
In 28 hours It helps us all cope
IT’S 28 hours of giving hope
Giving hope
Giving hope
Giving hope
Giving hope

The suns a little brighter
The birds begin to sing
He stands a little taller
Having faith in all these beings
Who’ve all come together
To make a change
Holding hands across the world
to make a longer day

Giving 28 hours
Giving what they can
28 hours to help others understand
In 28 hours It helps us all cope
IT’S 28 hours of giving hope
Giving hope
Giving hope
Giving hope
Giving hope

It’s the power of the people
Like you and me
It’s the power of the people
To help everybody see
When we all work together
We can really make a change
It’s the power of the people
Who can make a longer day

Giving 28 hours
Giving what they can
28 hours to help others understand
In 28 hours It helps us all cope
IT’S 28 hours of giving hope
Giving hope
Giving hope
Giving hope
Giving hope
